Guide to My Fees

Trekking/Guiding:  I am able to offer either a Guide Only or an Organised 'Inclusive' Trek rate:

• Guide Only Rate: Depending on the size of your group I charge the following daily rate for my guiding services:

   

  1 to 6 persons	USD35 per group day
  7 to 12 persons	USD45 per group day

  From this fee I cover all my own expenses (i.e. food, accommodation & overland transport *).  To this you need to allow for the cost of your accommodation, food, trekking permits and transport to and from the trek.  While on the road I endeavour to get the best deal I can for my clients in terms of price and standard of accommodation.  Tea house and Homestay prices vary considerably depending on the area and obviously the cost of food and drinks will depend on your tastes.  I am happy to supply a more precise estmate depending on the trekking area and style of trek but daily accommodation food typically costs between $USD17-$USD35 per person per day.  If we require a porter this will cost an additional USD12 per day (per 25kg of load).  I will guide groups up to 12 persons, above this I employ an additional guide.

  * Any internal flight ticket that is required by myself is not included in my daily fee and would be an additional cost. 

• Organised 'Inclusive' Trek Rate:  This will depend on the trekking area and style of trek, but this is typically:

  between $USD40 and $USD125 per person per day

  The inclusive trek rate includes your accommodation, food, porter, ground transport and local fees and my guiding services, but excludes permit, insurance and any beverage bills you may run up!  As your trek organiser I will take care of your permit documentation and transport bookings.

Sightseeing:   I charge a daily guide rate as set out above to give you a personal guided tour of the main cities and visiting spots.  For efficient travel and use of time, if we decide to hire a taxi for the day, this will be an additional cost (approx USD30).

Jungle Safari:  I offer the following inclusive packages to Chitwan & Bardia National parks:

Package include return bus transportation from Kathmandu, park fee, activities, accommodation and meals (excluding beverage and alcoholic drinks). 

Hotel Accommodation:  When you supply dates along with any preferences I will try and find the best hotel for your needs.  I will always supply you with full details of the hotel before I confirm the booking.  Depending on the length of your stay and the time of year I may be able to negotiate a discounted rate.  However, as a guide:
